Madef was founded in October, 1. 1957. It is an open capital corporation specialized in the segment of Industrial Refrigeration, and produces a whole line of products for cooling, having as its main objective the refrigeration and conservation of food. Its industrial park is situated in the city of Canoas, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, on a lot of 12 hectares, with 32.000 m˙ of constructed area. Its localization is priviledge for its access from the main roads of the south of the country, strategic to Mercosul, and close to the Ports of Rio Grande-RS, Itajaí-SC, São Francisco do Sul-SC and Paranaguá -PR, enabling the conduction of business anywhere in the world. Madef counts with 250 employees, among technicians, researchers, specialized labourers, workers and administrative body.

Madef, along its 50 years, developed its own distinct performance style in the market, based on two main characteristics: 1- exceeded in the segment for the technological advencements developed in its own laboratories and in also, accompanying the evolution of the refrigeration equipment of the world leading companies.
